We met with Pengfei Chang, from China. Pengfei is a PG Arabic alumni studying for MSc Advanced Arabic at the University of Edinburgh. In an interview with Pengfei, we asked him the following questions:

Tell us about yourself

I am Pengfei Chang or شاهين, studying advanced Arabic currently at university of Edinburgh. Before that, I studied Arabic in China and international Management at university of Leicester.

What made you decide to study the Arabic language and culture?  What & who inspired you?  What were your motivations?

I was originally inspired by my father who was an engineer working in Iraq in 90s last century. He brought me some handcrafts and photos he took in Iraq. Since that I got interested in the Arab world.
